About Mondopad
What’s a Mondopad? In short, it’s the most innovative device to hit conference rooms since dry erase markers. Sporting a 55-inch LCD touch screen, video camera, sound bar and on-board computer, you can think of it as a wall-sized iPad. If you’ve spent any amount of time in meetings, you’ve no doubt heard of InFocus–the leading manufacturer of projectors and high-end presentation equipment. The Mondopad is their latest innovation.
In its main role, the Mondopad is a self-contained videoconferencing system. With its 720p HD camera and 1080p HD display, the Mondopad can display remote offices with sharp resolution and clarity. Connecting through VidTel’s “Any-to-Any” cloud-based service, the Mondopad can conference with other high-end video systems using H.323 and SIP as well as free services such as Skype and GoogleTalk. Unlike enterprise grade videoconferencing equipment, the Mondopad is inexpensive to set up and requires only an internet connection; just like any other computer on your network. No expensive communications infrastructure is required. The combination of Mondopad with VidTel’s service now brings affordable videoconferencing to small to the mid-sized business (SMB) market.
Videoconferencing is only part of a productive meeting. To achieve collaboration, some level of interaction is required. The Mondopad comes loaded with software to display PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets and charts, Word and PDF documents and image files. This special software uses the Mondopad’s touch screen to allow users to draw directly on the display, providing annotations to enhance the material being presented. Mondopad also has a whiteboard application that enables users to interactively draw on the shared whiteboard. Unlike traditional whiteboards, this one has multiple pages so you don’t have to erase important notes to make room for new thoughts. And all of this happens at multiple locations in real-time. At the end of the meeting, all attendees can be emailed a copy of the whiteboard and/or presentation files directly from the Mondopad.
Of course, a collaboration tablet like Mondopad is just as useful in single location meetings as it is in a teleconference. All of the presentation and whiteboard features work the same whether you’re connected to someone else or not. So the Mondopad can replace your conference room’s projector, screen and whiteboard. And since the Mondopad has an on-board computer running Windows 7, the meeting organizer can simply upload the required files to the unit so they can be viewed in vivid high definition. No more fiddling with projector settings and VGA cables.
If you spend a lot of time in conference rooms or traveling between them, Mondopad can save time and money while increasing productivity. Call us today to schedule a free consultation to determine if Mondopad is right for you. 303-728-9647
